This iconic Art Deco building in the heart of downtown Durham was first commissioned by Mrs. Anna Exum Snow in the 1920s, not long after women in North Carolina were given the right to vote.

The Snow Building is an eight-story property with approximately 20,000 square feet that currently houses Viceroy, an authentic Indian restaurant, and Arcana, a downtown speakeasy.

Because of the rapid growth in the downtown Durham area, HEM + SPIRE purchased this historic office building as a key addition to our home-base portfolio. Throughout our ownership since 2016, we have replaced the windows on the south side of the building and completely renovated the basement area into a state-of-the-art community area with conference and gather rooms.
